2008: Urban Bush Women - sassy strong relevant
Les écailles de la mémoire (The scales of memory) is an evening-length collaboration between choreographers Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and Germaine Acogny and their respective companies - the 7 women of Urban Bush Women and the 7 men of Compagnie JANT-BI of Senegal. This dance explores themes of resistance, memory and love and is the result of a three year inter-continental collaboration.
