Seeds Bursting Open in Fire is an evening of poetry, collective writing, and dreaming to inspire and activate artists and organizers. UBW Co-Artistic Director Chanon Judson will lead a movement activity for healing and activation!

UBW welcomes Nicole Perez as the new Office Administration Intern

Nicole Perez was introduced to Urban Bush Women through the 2021-2022 CUNY Cultural Corps Program. She is currently a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a double major in Psychology and Social Work with the goal of becoming a psychologist. While she is passionate about mental health, Nicole is also passionate about being in leadership, helping others and fostering growth within her communities. She was Student Council President during her senior year of high school and worked with students and administrative staff to best meet the needs of the school. Nicole was also Co-Vice President of the Psychology Club during her freshman year in college, assisting in planning future activities and events that provide further information and resources to those interested in pursuing Psychology. During the 2021 summer, she was an undergraduate research participant and identified research associated with the socioeconomic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on minorities and people of color.
